Umbria 2008
Although there are a hundred other places in the world I should see before I die, I still go home to Umbria. This year, I chose to be there with a handful of my closest friends. Two weeks is still too short, but in that time we had a blast visting Bevanga and Gubbio, making pasta, enjoying friends - new and old.
We stayed on a working organic farm - La Capannine Sommavilla - that felt like home. Cristine and her husband Alfredo share their quiet oasis in the hills, as well as fresh eggs, newly picked plums and huge heads of lettuce. Nicer people you won't find.
